Sebring 2012, HuH?
We did good for a while, but really can't regret not going this year to the actual track/
event - can't understand the reality in comparing and/or thinking that the 458's who were track tested all year vs. the new and outgoing 997's would even be in the same league, when its going to take at least another year AFTER the racing 991's are competitive (2014, yeah!)... So, am I mistaken in knowing ahead of time Porsche didn't stand a chance at this year's race or? No, saddened that the recourses are being used for the 918? the LMP1 for 2014? the 991 GT racing (and non-competitive? for years), and the upcoming Cajun - fan- tastic... I read everything like everyone else and they're hiring - but the racing program, despite budget and desires, sux royal donkey a*s this year - get ready! Yes, the Proton/Febelmayer team broke the 2 mins. mark yesterday at practice, but qualified outside top5 - we sucked royal a*s this year, no pun intended. It's gonna be a long season in ALMS other than the GTC series where only cup cars compete, and then there's the Pirelli Challenge (which sees no tv time) series where Patrick Long took the ultra competitive title with older machinery. Hang on, everyone - we have some strong competition and no one seems to be going after the bell.... Pics anyone of today - anything worthwhile? Please share thoughts/observations from ESPN.com or pics from event! At least it was watchable vs. last year's ambitious selective steaming of events... |
