Cool Steering wheel wobble

Hi,

The steering wheel in my 67 is loose. I guess its the bearing/shim in the column which is worn. I remember reading something about this the other day on this list, in that these can be replaced with a part for a 928 or something ??. Can someone remind me of the part I need.

Thanks in advance

Alan

There is a little plastic bushing that slips around the steering column and fits into a brass ring inside the guide tube. While the plastic factory piece requires more work there is an updated bushing that can be slid into place after removing the steering wheel and hub electrics. simple job. most of the parts houses have it for a few bucks (Incl Pelican). Happy wrenching...
