I beleave the part# is Bosch 1 234 332 215. Pelican says it is for a 1968-1969 912 with a bosch distributor. It also my be for a Volkswagen Beetle distributor. I can't remember were I bought mine at Pelican or a parts store. Here is a picture of what beleave to be your distributor rotor.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1332467185.jpg
If you can't read the number it is Bosch 1 234 332 215. Try entering the number in the search block and it should come up with it on Pelican. That is the only way I found it here on Pelican. Craig. |
It's not only the length of the rotor (from center of shaft to tip)...it's also the orientation of the flat on the shaft compared to the tip of the rotor.
In other words...you might find that you need to re-index the distributor to get it back to the correct timing. Bob |
i am confused.
why would you order an SC rotor for a 74 2.7? the dist's are differenet. the early cars may be able to use a variaty of rotors. i have a 914 5500RPM rotor on my 2.7, just because i had a good one left over. |
