Water leak - drain hose

1991 964 Carrera 2

Thanks to the advice of previous posts I have tracked down a few leaks in my car. My main leak is through my front ventilation intake - when I spray water down this it leaks into both the passenger and driver side from front to back of the interior. From reading other posts, it sounds like this is the drain hose. I've looked at a few diagrams in my Bentley and shop books, but still having trouble figuring out exactly where the drain hoses originate from and their course to the bottom. Is there just a pan they drain from then out the bottom. From the other posts it seems that I need to remove my heating unit and gas tank, is this true? Is there a way to confirm that the leak is coming from the hoses without taking the car apart. Sounds like garden hosing is the solution for replacing the pipes. What is generally the problem with these drainage tubes, have people found the pipes are blocked or not attached?

I also have a leak onto the back seats of my car which I located to the sunroof drain tubes where they attach to the rear to exit into the engine compartment. I haven't seen any replacement hoses on Pelican Parts, any ideas?

I cant help with the locations of the drain hoses on a 964, but typically you just need to blow them out with compressed air.

I am subscribing to this thread in hopes that someone can help locate all the drain hoses.

Good Luck
