Another Oil Question
Really an oil question and a water leak question.
Oil question - anyone tried the Slick-50s or similar products? What do you think...will they work/help maintain lubrication...esp. on a oil cooled vehicle. Second question: Just survived a day of gully washers...but the rear floor boards are flooded and rear seats are soaked (but not the backs). Seat backs were lying down at the time. What would be a probable source of water leakage? Ya'll probably have answered this a million times...but, sigh, I'm still lookin' thanks

IMO, you shouldn't have to use Slick-50...but for trivia info, when I worked at a boat yard many light duty commercial fisherman swore by Slick-50...they used it at every oil change, which I believe is considered imp but not by Slick-50. Marine engines encounter severe wear...they are constantly under a load...kind of like driving your 911 up thru a mountain pass, forever going upwards...and for trivia #2, there is a high end/expensive race parts supplier for Detroit iron called "childs&albert" who had Slick-50 in their catalog, don't know if it's still there.. ..Ron
