admitting defeat -shrinkwrap
OK for those of you who folowed my thread about shrinkwrapping my 911 for transport, I give up!
I think it could be done but way to time consuming. I tried it and after an hour I was only beginning. I still think it could be done, but it would take 8-10 hours. Not worth it to me. Sorry I couldn't get it done for future reference. BTW if anyone sees a 26' UHaul towing a green 911 across Canada for the next week or so, give me a wave and a flash. I guarantee I won't be going too fast  This UHaul is a PIG! Wish me luck and I'll se you guys in a week or so. Shawn |
I hope you have a good trip. If you get a chance, give me a call when you go through the Hat. Michael

Here's what I would do (would take about an hour).
Put a good quality, soft cotton cover on it. Then go to Home Depot and get a whole bunch of the 3 mil plastic sheeting that you use to cover floors when painting. You can then use clear packing tape to wrap the plastic around the car. The cover protects the car from scratches, and plastic makes it waterproof... -Wayne |
Shawn, whatever you do, take good care of your 911!
We're looking forward to seeing you and your car at the SCWDP Rainforest Round-Up in July. |
