The engine is back in!
Today was the day the engine went back in but I still have a few more things to hookup. I'm about 2 hours away from firing it up with the exception of the distributor rotor. When the engine was out I tried to remove the rotor and it wouldn't budge. So I gave it a little more force and removed it in two pieces. I called around and couldn't locate one locally. You guys in California are really lucky being close to the supply houses. So I'm a week away from starting it up due to a broken rotor.
The reason I took the engine out was to replace all the lower dilivar head studs with steel ones. I opted not to do a top end rebuild based on the mileage on the car and after inspecting everything. I also did the chain tensioner upgrade too. Thanks for all the advice and help along the way. It's a great feeling to know I can always get help from this board.
