Sacramento Machine Shop Recommendation?

Who in Sacramento would you trust to polish your crank?

Porsche 911 3.2 crankshaft, that is

It's a stock crankshaft that measures in spec but the rod and main bearings led a tough life with dirty oil or some such abuse. No scoring or noticable imperfections to the touch but it just doesn't look as smooth to the eye as I would like.

I'm tempted to run it as is but I'm spending so much cash on this rebuild I don't want to leave this detail out. My fear is that an incompetant machine shop will damage the nitrided surface or go too far and take it out of spec. I have had some bad experiences where a servicable part was made worse by trying to improve it...

So where in the Sac area would you take your crankshaft polishing job

TT,
you might try Moores engine machine shop in Auburn, right off 49,across from Raleys.
If he can't he will probably know someone.I have used him in the past, good work, fair price.
Can be a little grumpy.....
