Talking Keeping my car...

Allright, I'm keeping my car...I may just have to live out of it that's all (kidding). Just a few issues that need to be addressed, perhaps some of you can help. #1, Turn signals are blinking EXREMELY fast, no bulbs are out. Can I fix the problem with the $9 signal relay? #2 Cheap and decent tires, willing to sacrifice a little performance for cost, but want to do DE events. What do you recommend? #3, Tick, Tick, Tick coming from the LH cylinder bank (when facing the rear). How can I tell if I have an exhaust leak or a valve tick? Problem does not go away as the car warms up. #4 has anyone refinished their window moulding (black). How?

Thanks all,
Matt

Yoko AVS intermediates wear well and stand up to DE events at about 80 bucks each
I can keep up with comparable cars with R-compound tires in intermediate run groups. If you're just starting to do DEs you'll actually learn more on street tires.

have fun!

For an exhaust leak, put a cold wet rag over the exhaust pipe and listen for any change in the ticking.

For the signals, is it happening across all the bulbs/lights, front and back? If one side, then you need to check grounds. You might also invest in a package of Phillips or Jahn bulbs (i.e. REAL European bulbs) as the 1156s and whatnot you get locally can be a PIA and can carry incorrect currents. I found this out the hard way!
