Jack for Porsche
Hi all
I need a replacement roadside jack for my 1985 911, I brock the jack it came with. I was looking at a scissor jack with a jack pad, but not that happy with that. a BMW used with the M3's looks ok ? Any ideas? Thanks Steve. |

i use a regular small honda scissor jack with a stud welded on top. so you can jack it up right in the hole under each a-arm . I did that so i dont have to jack it up so high to get the wheel off the ground which i have always found to be a problem on any car in a roadside tire change when your in a rush. and it works great the only downside is you have to crawl under the car.

I use the aluminum scissor jack from a 944. Smaller and lighter. Carry a couple pieces of wood for support. The boss on top of the jack fits into the corner jack points on 87-89 Carrera. Porsche dismantlers should have lots of them for not many $.

Same here for the aluminium 944 jack ... I cut a hole in the center of a hockey puck and use it as a pad that fits on the tab of the jack !
Cheers ! Phil

There are a bunch of them on e-bay. If you want the parts number, it's probably on the parts diagram link from Pelican's New Parts Catalog.

looks like there are two types .. one that is flat on top with a slit and the other type have a raised bump... which one would work best on a 70t?
