Cabriolet repair in NJ

Hi All,

I've been lurking for a while and have found this forum to be an incredible resource.
I purchased a triple black '87 cabriolet in Nov 2011 with 58k miles. The car was in excellent shape and I had a PPI done at Flemington Porsche in NJ (no issues found).

When I purchased the car, it was missing the boot cover. Recently I have been on the hunt for the cover and I noticed that there are no snaps along the back side of the top (under the rear window). I was told that the original top had been replaced by a previous owner. If you run your over the canvas, you can feel the hole where the post *should* be. When I attempted to peel the canvas back to get a better look, I found that there was a thick piece of weather stripping glued to the body... so I thought I would just leave well enough alone and bring it to a shop.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an upholstery shop in Central or South Jersey that would be able to handle installing the posts and snaps?

Obligatory photo attached

Thanks,

Kevin

I would suggest waiting until you find a boot cover before installing snaps. BTW, tenax snaps

Are wicked expensive....

Some boot covers mix snap types.... also all snaps are not in the same place

Thank you all for the comments.

Speednme1 - Thanks for the recommendation, I'll give them a call this week.

Joe Bob - Thanks for bringing the fact that the fastener type can be mixed and not in the same location. I'll follow your advice and pickup the boot cover first.

JJ - Here's a picture...
