Is there any justifiable reason to pay 2X the price for a set of original Porsche braided wires vs the Beru OEM set?

I didn't think so. In fact I bought the Beru wire-set for an earlier car ('73 IIRC) without the stainless braid - they've worked fine for the past 7-8 years.
