Door check

What to do? Door check is broken inside door. The metal that it is attached to broke off in side the door. Should I just put a strap on the door and car? Thanks for any help.

Pelican sells the door stay and reinforcement kit. You'll have to take you door panel off, but it's not really hard. The procedure is in the 101 projects book.

I think for a full repair, the door will have to come off and you'll have to weld the door frame.
