cleaning Fuchs wheels

....what is the correct procedure / product to clean chrome Fuchs rims ?

are you sure that they are "chrome", or is the alloy actually polished? Big difference....

Most Fuchs are anodized aluminum. Big difference. Soap and water.

....correction, the color confused me, they are polished anodized aluminum.
I am going to try soap, water and elbow grease.

Soap and water is good for the cleaning. I then rub the wheels with Vaseline (petroleum jelly). This is specifically recommended by Porsche in the manual and works like a charm. I'm glad to see that your were not chromed. Chroming Fuchs is a bad idea.

Dumb question : using vaseline won't make them sticky and gather dirt ? I guess you wipe the vaseline after ?

Use the Vaseline like it is a wax. Rub it in good and then buff it off. Sounds like a weird idea but it works well and won't damage the paint or the anodized areas. It is also the second cheapest car care product behind water.
