NOT on Ebay..but check it out

http://www.oregonlive.com/pics/index.ssf?/oregon/oroneAd.cfm?AdID=3615 Asking price is $25,500 for a Weissach coupe with 16K miles. I'm not the seller, just found the ad interesting.

I didn't see the price or the mileage listed, but $25K seems reasonable for a Weissach coupe with those miles on it, assuming its legit and the condition is what it should be given the mileage.

The Weissach is really just a "stickers and paint" special edition car, but its still a neat car, and there are people who have a special interest in them, so it is worth probably 20-25% more than a normal SC, IMO.

The problem is that its not really a car that would make sense to buy and drive, as half of its value is the low mileage and (presumably) all original condition (I wonder if it has the original tires?). For a driver, a mid 80's $25,000 Carrera would probably be a better choice. But, for someone who is into concours, or wants an interesting car to use occasionally for Sunday club events, I think that car would be a great buy and a lot of fun.

Yeah, in my unbiased opinion it's that awsome platinum metalic paint and the sport seats makes $25K seems reasonable. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/biggrin.gif

What's funny? My wife thinking of this car as a daily driver. It's not a lot more than we paid for her (it's LOADED) ford ranger. Only problem...we live 90+ miles from decent Porsche service. Not worth the hassle to us, or I'd be writing a check. That's IF the car checked out to be as advertised. I mean, probably the best longevity of any 911 model made, right? And it sure looks cooler than a new Grand Am, or an entry level Lexus...Edit P.S: I said the mileage & the price by reading the print ad that led me to the pics...okay?
