Gauge bulbs, how do I remove?

Trying to remove my speedo on my 87 Targa to access the bulbs. What is the best way to remove the gauge and how do those tiny bulbs come out. Thanks Lenny

I was able to pull mine out with just my fingers. The light bulb sockets will also pull straight out. Be careful not to pull on the wires to much when you pull the speedo out.

Lenny, sometimes one instrument will be easier to remove than another. So if the speedo doesn't want to pull out, then try for another instrument. Once one of the instruments is out, then you can go behind the instrument panel and push the speedo. The only thing that holds the instruments in place is the rubber seal/gasket.

Like has already been said the light sockets should snap out. I would suggest rocking the socket back and forth rather than just pulling directly on the socket. If you completely remove one of the instruments, be sure to mark the wires so everything goes back together correctly.
