Thanks for the heads-up, Tim!
I have a first edition of the original book.
I had it for many, many years before I actually owned a Porsche. That book kept the dream alive for me.

Mr.Ludvigsen must be getting on in years. It's great news that he (and Bentley) are going to revive and update this classic piece of Porsche literature.

Sure thing, I have been looking for this book for months but can't find it anywhere. I just found this so I guess I should wait it out.

I guess - a quick search on the web turned up a first edition going for $400!

Wow! I had no idea it was worth that much.
A few month's ago I saw a copy for sale at a swap meet. Asking price: $200. I would have bought it had I known.
I forget exactly how much it sold for originally, but I remember it wasn't cheap.
It is a high quality book; hard-bound, on heavy stock. I hope the Bentley production is similar good quality.

I can only imagine the price Bentley will be asking for it ... $199.99, perhaps?

My first edition autographed copy was purchased at a technical book store right across NASA 1 from the Johnson Space Center in 1978!

Same here Doug! I bought mine many years ago and it kept the dream alive. I've actually read most of the book several times. $400 bucks, huh? Mine is currently lying amongst a pile of magazines and books on the basement floor!!! I guess I better find some shelf space. Quick! -- Curt
