Sway Bar Bushing Replacement
Someone out there must know this one.
I have to replace my suspension bushings on my rear sway bar and noted that it was near impossible to press or push in that little bushing that fits over the "ball" from the drop link. How are you supposed to replace those bushing that must fit inside the link that fits around the bar and the one that fits over the ball on the rear trailing arm? Hate to pound them into submission!! Any hints? Regards Bob 73.5 T :D |
I used a "C" clamp and some soap to get mine in. I would use a pair of cutting pliers and cut the old ones out. They get hard after a while and make the process a bit more difficult...

I used a vice to insert the bushing into the drop link, and a short bar (ok, it was the handle for my floor jack) as a lever to install the whole thing onto the car. A dab of white lithium grease helps.
