Missing Temperture sensor grille
 

Does anyone know where I might find a Temperture sensor grille? This is the round disk with two slots in it, that mounts in the dash on the 86 and later cars with auto. heating control. I tried at Hershey, they looked at me like I was crazy. I believe the 928's used this same part. Thanks, I know this one is a challenge.

I think this #8 is what you are looking for. They are calling it an "intake manifold"

I would try a dealer first, give them the part number, and see if they can get it.

If it is way overpriced or unavailable, try Partsheaven or one of the other Porsche dismantlers.

Thanks, I sent an E-mail to my "local" Porsche dealer (150 miles away) two days ago. I have gotten zero responce, I guess they are not interested in the small stuff. On to Partsheaven.

Call Stoddard Imported Cars at 1-800-342-1414. Select the Mail order parts department from the menu. Give the part number to a sales rep. If they have it in stock, you'll get it in a couple of days. If not, they will order it for you and ship UPS ground or any other method you desire when it comes in. They generally get unstocked parts from the Porsche USA wharehouse in a week or less.

Well, I called Stoddard Imported Parts, they say I will have the part in about a week. Total cost $1.98 plus shipping. I could learn to rely on you guys. Thanks again
