930 trailing arms

I am considering installing 930 trailing arms in a 76 911 coupe. Can this be easily done, kits available, or is it a major undertaking? thanks, Larry

This is not an easy task, the 930 arms are shorter and require you to move the suspension pick up points. Usually people buy the camber boxes for the rear designed for the 930 trailing arms. It is a welding job to get them in $550USD in parts alone).

I would suggest the improvement is not worth that effort unless you are trying to get the last 1/10th of a second on a lap time and even then it is not assured to be there. your money is better spent on other things in my books. I have actually had 930 trailing arms in my garage, and did not do it, to do it right you also should raise the spring plate pivot point, which requires a new torsion tube or a conversion to coil overs. buy really nice sway bars or something else, you get a much better improvement for your money and the 930 trailing arms are worth their weight in gold to those trying for that last 1/10th, they should fund a nice set of sway bars.
