Torsion bar tube question...
what year did Porsche modify the tube to accommodate removing the trailing arm bolts to the outside? ....making indentations in the tube outside the connecting points? '74?
thanks, |

My 73E does not have the indents, so it was later than that.
They added some bracing in 74 I think, so maybe that is when they made the switch?

Seems to have rolled in during the 73 model year. At least some of the later 73s had it.

thanks folks...
chuck - just visited you on Thurs for Turbo tie rod ends. I "may" have a bent steel trailing arm and awaiting verdict with alignment issue. Car has been in the shop for the 3 months I've had it and can't remember... of course, all this AFTER we've reinstalled the engine/trans. |
