Dme relay
Hi,
I finally received the part! All I need to do is attach it. The problem is i don't know how. I know that the DME relay is located under the drivers seat, and I've seen it. Can someone please tell me how to remove the old and how to put the new? I was told that it's best to disconnect the battery first, is this correct? Then? Thanks:confused: |
I have a bolt holding it, once that is removed you just pull it out like any other relay. You can access it with the seat pushed backwards.

Before I do, I must disconnect the battery, correct?

Turn the key off, and just pull the relay. |
I got it to start. How cool is that !! Took me awhile , coz the seat was stuck. Even with my little hands it was kind of difficult to do it. But I did it. Ths s the first time I've done something like this. Thanks for all the help.

Congratulations!! You ought to but a second relay and keep it your glove box as a spare.

That's very cool.

Nice when its simple. Yeah buy another relay. On your seats, pull them out and clean the gunk out and put white grease on the runners. They work sooo much better. To get to the rear seat bolts, you get in the back seats and use your legs to push them all the way forward. Vacuum the crap out of the carpet while you're in there. Its about an hour job and well worth it once every decade.
