walbro fuel pump question
Ive been searching though old posts and i seem to get conflicting answers as to if a external check valve is required for the walbro fuel pump install on an 83.
If it is not necessary can i just replace the stock check valve with a plain banjo bolt and and a new correct banjo fitting for it? im about 3/4 way through my fuel pump install, making new lines and finishing the ac delete and found out that the oem check valve dosent fit the walbro and i seem to be missing a couple pieces to my walbro install kit (not so pumped about it).

![]() ![]() Wondering how you resolved your fitment of the Walbro fuel pump? Were the fittings an issue? Thanks in advance. Len ![]() |

Its been almost a year now but, luckily i wrote everything down (otherwise id forget). i wasnt able to use the factory check valve i had to use the one that came with the new walbro. the factory one was a different size and wouldnt screw into the new pump anyhow. as far as fitting i ended up replacing all the old soft fuel lines last summer because quite a few of them were starting to get cracked and checked.
