New dual exhaust installed with pics
Borla dual for 930. LOVE it.
I did the install and the valance modification myself. I am not much of a DIYer but I wanted to thank this board for all the information it provided me to do it precisely and neatly. I really enjoyed the process and it was very gratifying for the end result. I used a Dremel with metal cut off wheel to trim the valance. I even modified the end of the rocker panel on the passenger side to match the drivers side. The fit of the Borla is nice with the tips lining up symmetrically and flush. ![]()

Nice job!!
It drives me nuts when I see an exhaust setup that isn't even and/or straight on any vehicle.

Borla dual for 930?
Could you give more detail on the exhaust you installed? Also, what about the muffler. What was used there? Have any under the car pic's? Looks real nice... I want one! |

I currently have the same muffler, Borla dual (quad tips
), on my P car now. I used to have them in my old BMW too. Love the sound.

Borla has the coolest sound. Great exhaust system.

I agree, I am quite shocked how good it sounds frankly, and how well tuned it is for the cabin (ie no resonance, drone, booming). Only gets loud when you are on it. Really a good piece of kit for these older 911 cars.
We should get in touch with Borla, I really think there is a market for them to produce this old stuff again. I mean they nailed it on the 930.

Need more info and details. I need a new muffler for my upgraded
`83-911sc (79/930/3.3L engine) RUF dual out exhaust system. Which Borla dual exhaust muffler are you guys using on your 930? Have a part number? Last edited by cgh911sc; 04-26-2012 at 11:16 PM.. |

There is no part number stamped on the unit. It is NLA and there is little info available. I have an email in to Borla let us see.
