1980 911 sc air filter oiling

I just got a new OEM air intake filter for a 911 sc (the wide rectangular filters for those who don't know), and I was wondering if you should oil the OEM filters when they are new? I know people oil filters after they have cleaned them (used).

Thanks

They are designed to work dry - and are so cheap there is no excuse for not just replacing them at regular intervals.

Oiling filters are for the cloth K&N type.
