Anyone in Mass. ever remember my Minerva Blue SC

I got no history with my 1979 SC and wondering if anyone here ever remembers it from Massachusetts prior to 2004.

I bought it from Rhode Island in 2004 from a guy who had like sixty cars in his collection, and I remember he stating he got it from an estate sale in Mass. From the original owner that imported it here. I traded a MB he really wanted and some cash in his favor.

Mass. will not sell previous history to a regular citizen and only to the select few submitting a lot of documentation.

Just sucks not having any history and now that I have dug into a refurb I now know it had some major service done. I would be nice to know when, where and how much was done.

I know it has had:

AC added
Repaint (not the best)
Clutch replaced
Heat exchangers (1982 stamped on bottom)
Ungo Alarm
Gottie wheels
Carrera Tail added
Red tail light lenses
Front fog lights

The car:
1979 Euro
Minerva Blue
Cork interior
No sunroof
Crank windows

I know it is a long shot but ya never know.

TIA - Terry

If you can pick it up it is yours. I weighs quite a bit so you better be short and really strong, get under there and lift.

Like my friend the Hercules Beetle

So far I have removed most everything added. And have the correct 79 date coded Fuchs back on. Engine currently ready to reinstall after I reseal the tranny. Already added the SSI"s and reasealed the engine leaks. Just need to make up a right side heater duct.

I have a friend who once owned a car just like it (their can't be to many of these)but he is from NY/VT so chances are it couldn't be the same car if your saying the original owner was from MA. Regardless I can put you in touch with him if you like. Email me directly at joegt3cup@att.net

No leads for you, but that is a beautiful car. I have the turbo cousin to your SC:

I was on a road trip from NYC to VT last spring and saw a Minerva 911 on the road. It was somewhere in the Ft. Ann/Whitehall area IIRC correctly. Maybe it was you?
