Do I need to do a partial drop?

I am upgrading to a Clewitt ignition after the failure of my ez69 module. I need to remove the crankshaft pulley. On a 1991 turbo can I gain access by removing the muffler and brackets, or do I need a partial engine drop? Project starts Tuesday. Thank you.

No, I'm replacing the lower pulley on the wife's '91 and no worries! Did remove muffler, engine cross member and rear tin. Engine supported with jack stand.
Any pics of the upgrade?

You do need a special wrench to hold pulley while re-torquing the pulley though.

+1 not necessary but you will be moving the engine down a bit to put the cross member and tin back on.

As far as the SST, I made my own. I used an old OEM AC belt I had hanging on a hook cut to the diameter of the pulley and used channel lock vise from HF and it fit perfectly and did not touch the pulley's side walls, held in place while I used my torque wrench. It is ghetto but it worked.
