Just curious, what's wrong with your current cable? I ask because the little plastic piece that fits in the square hole broke over 200k miles ago, but a zip tie holds it to the bracket just fine.

I realize a picture is worth 1k words, but I don't have one...

Cable is broke 5-6 inches from the ball end in the engine compartment.

if the cable housing is fine you can just buy some .040 or.050 music wire and make a new cable...fixed mine the other day ....aicraftspruce.com has .049 music wire and they sell it by the foot

Just a twist or are there small cable clamps for a .050 connection. I believe this may work as the housing is still good. Stainless? Rust?

Thanks, Dave

Cruse control cable

Go to your local bike shop and purchase a rear gear cable, it will fit into the black shield, then go to Advance Auto and get a cable stop for the end. I have been using this arrangement for over a year it works great. Cost about $7.

i went to the local rc plane and car hobby shop and bought a couple of small collars with the set screws Corrosion shouldn't be a problem with music wire. They probably had the music wire there too but i already had some so really didn't check.
