Hargett Precision shifter installation???
Hi fellow Pelicans!
I'm considering upgrading my old John Deere shifter on my '80 SC to the Hargett Precision 915 shifter. I understand that the shifter assembly sits over the E brake handle. How does it affect the heat control levers behind the handle and in between the seats? Do they have to be removed or adjusted? Do you still have access to them? Can anybody show me their set-up with some close-up photos? Much appreciated as always! Alex

Lots of threads there, just use search function... E-brake stays, but difficult to reach

Just a short time ago another Pelican made an extension for the ebrake and gave some pretty clear instructions on how to make it etc... Photos were included but I cannot remember who it was!?!

I would probably be OK with the E brake being somewhat more difficult to engage. My concern would be access to the heater levers. Additionally, I have a hand throttle located beside the heater levers which I definitely use regularly when I warm up the engine. I have enclosed a couple of photos of my (unique?) set up between the seats:

I'd go Wevo or Rennshift. I have a Rennshift in my race car and it is great.

I doubt you can mount the hargett shifter with the heater levers on and if you cannot reach them for sure.
There are two sides on every medal... But besides that it's a really nice shifter, optimum position and really tight feeling at shifting. Harder than familiar but no more sloppy feeling
