Will 964 fenders fit my '88 carrera?
So I've been searching for a definitive answer, I was backed into by a van yesterday, and a quick search turned up a clean '90 C4 being parted out near me, but I'm not sure the fenders and hood from it will fit?
My car is the narrow body, and I have aftermarket YB bumpers, far as I can tell the only difference between the 964 fender and the '88 911 is some bumper mounting tabs along the front edge? Can anyone clear this up? Some aftermarket fenders are listed as '74-93, but others say they only fit '74-89 The before: ![]() And now... ![]() ![]() |

I've spent the last three years slaving in the garage on this poor car, just wanted to drive it this year...

There are slight differences between the 964 and 911 front fenders. You have already described the tabs on the fender that are used for the 964 bumper to slide into and hold in place. There is a hole and indentation just behind the rear of the fender opening down low just before the door opening that is how the outer flexible rocker panel is attached to the fender - and most different is the drivers side fender the gas lit area is completely different. Front hood will bolt up just fine. Jim

Thank you, I think insurance will just have to suck it up and get me some new sheet metal. Was time for some fresh paint anyway, and now someone else can fit my YB back bumper...

I've used them on many cars. Just a few slight mods and they fit fine.
