 3.2 motronic reference pin dimensions

My reference pin on the 3.2 flywheel was sheared off. Does anyone have measurements for this pin? I guess I will have to extract the pin(bolt). The part is not available from porsche any more. If I know the length and thread I should be able to get one at a hardware store. It is something like 4mm by ?
	Thanks, Buck |

it's pretty much a 4mm thread allen head cap screw. that's what i used when a new flywheel came with a stainless pin that didn't trip the sensor.

I was looking for the dimensions and position of the reference pin and could only find the information in this thread provided by John Walker, thanks John. On an original flywheel the pin is positioned on the flywheel with approximately 4.8 to 5MM rising above the surface of the flywheel. When replacing, it should be installed with loctite glue. When you're finished the speed sensor can be adjusted to .8 MM clearance and you should be ready to start the car. If you want to double check the reference sensor clearance you can use the same procedure, the clearance should be about .8MM as well. This information was provided by Robin at Redbone Garage in Orlando. (make sure the reference pin responds to a magnet before you install it)
