new wheels
Just bought these new wheels from Wheel Enhancement. Which do you prefer the new look or the old color coded look.

The new ones are more modern, but I'm not a big 3-peice wheel guy. They're pretty cool.
The old ones have a nice classic look to them. Are they for sale?

Lookin' good! What are those, 17"? I'm planning to upgrade the SC to 16" soon.

I actually like both!
The new wheels give a much more agressive look (IMHO) But, I always lean towards the "stock" look so I'd be very happy with the "old" look too! |

The old wheels are not for sale. I figure I better hold on to them. The new wheels are Kinesis Super Cups. 17" 8 X 10. The car does handle better and the ride is only slightly rougher. I enjoyed dealing with Wheel Enhancement. They beat the cheapest price I could find by $50 and had all the correct answers to my questions.

Yeah, the new ones rock! Nice looking car altogether too.
I have a similar question that you guys might help me with... I have the original 15X4.5 inch steel wheels on my '69, and I met a guy who said he has (4) 14X6 Fuchs for sale cheap. I'm sure my handling would improve, but what would the disappointments be to go from 15 to 14 inch?

I would make sure you can find appropriate tires in 14s. Owners of 15s have complained there isn't a large selection of available tires. Just a thought.

Yeah, thanks, I've been researching that, I've seen a couple things that should work. I'm wondering if it will causes excessive roughness, or poor cornering for any reasons... Maybe premature tire wear?

Very nice. How much did it cost?

I like 'em - may I ask how much they were?
I'm in the process of sorting out my 17" track wheels, and then I'll be considering 17" street wheels. I'm also in the "do I sell my 9" Fuchs?" boat. Seeing as how hard they were to find the first time, I might be better served putting them on a shelf for a rainy day.

$2,450 for the wheels and $800 for the Yoko AVS Sport tires. Most places priced the wheels from $2,500 to $2,750. Wheel Enhancement said their everyday low price was $2,450 so I bought them. They also tossed in the Porsche crest center caps at cost.

I like the new ones, but would have spent my money on making the old ones fully polished. I have that on my Red coupe and it is hot. Will post pics if I ever figure out how.

The new ones! I've never been one for color Fuchs although they don't look bad on your car.
