Check out Cen Pe Co racing oil. This company sells mostly to agriculture type customers, and seems to be able to ignore the federal mandates on zinc.

Well...first of all congratulations, you have my ex-car! I guess it went from another member who I sold it here in Cali to someone in NY and then on to you. Second, Tom Amon who mostly worked on it recommended Castrol GTX, that's what I used. Third, I use Rotella in my cars and bikes, and I'm happy with it. Cheers!

Does anyone have experience using CAT (Caterpillar) DEO 15W-40 in the 911?
I believe it is produced by Mobil.

Cen-Peco also makes a racing only oil which has more zinc in it as well. Pretty easy to get, i just call the local distributor and say "bring me 3 cases" and he delivers to my house. Rotella is my second choice, i figure if my friend can run it in his pulling tractor (yes i live in the boonies and know people who do tractor pulls) then its going to hold up to a 911 race motor. In my 993, nothing but Mobile-1 20-50.
