3.6 conversion with A/C in 88 Anyone?

I'm installing a 993 engine in an 88 911. The customer wants to keep the A/C. Anyone done it? Not sure the 88 A/C pump will fit on the 993 engine. Appreciate any input

In one customer car with a/c he has a 993 compressor with custom made fittings on the ends of the hoses. They started out as 993 hose ends. This is in a 83 911 with a 993 motor.

I think it's a straight bolt up

911 vs. 964/993 are different compressor mounts I recall and different hose connections at the manifolds. You might as well re-hose with a barrier hose set if the hoses in the car are stock, replace drier, add low high pressure switch as a minimum. Send PM for suggestions.

Jerry,

Contact einreb for his experiences as well. He did a good bit of searching/work to get the A/C working in his '88 3.6 conversion.
