Brake Light Switch
Hi all,
I have a 911 2.4T from 1973. My trailing brake lights were in "always-on" mode. So I looked under the brake pedal to inspect the electical switch. If i manually act an the lever (pulling out) brake lights switch off and when i hit the brake pedal lights swith on. If i release the brake pedal the lever seems to escape and light stays on. Original Part number seems to be 911.613.411.00 Here are some photos. Can anyone post a working brake light switch photo already mounted please ? Is there a way to register the position of the lever switch or do i have to replace it ? I'd like to save 100$... please help ! ![]() ![]() |

The metal arm of the switch is bent. Push the brake pedal down a bit out of the way then bend it up so it sits in the middle of the washer on the top side. Common issue...at least with my car
