Congratulations Freddie! I have seen Steve's Carrera a couple of times and it is perfect. I wish you success as it is rare to find people who have the dedication and commitment to these cars which you have demonstrated.

I hope to find myself in your neck of the woods one of these years and would definitely make a detour to see your shop.

I'm loving this. Thanks for all the tips. There were a couple I would not have thought of (like the floor).

Here is an area that I like to pay close attention to...the gap and contour between the front hood gap and horn grilles. To me a well alligned hood is one where both sides of the hood gap are even right down to the very front edge of the hood and horn grilles. If all early 911s out there where dressed with original hoods, fenders and grilles, these gaps would be dead on. If the front edge of a hood has been hit and not repaired properly with the horn grilles on, you loose the contour roundness of the hood and grille....

Once I get done with the restoration of this tail, I would guess around $5000-$6000. It will take some serious work but worth the effort. Still doing final detail work before getting it back to the East coast. The frame on the tail was so shot, that I had to cut and piece metal to the frame but keeping most of the tail original..

The RS tail is fully restored to specs! Back home she goes to New York.

Duck fans here in Oregon are loving Conda green on this tribute 1972 911 RS. The 1970 911E in Burgandy is on the ground now and waiting for more reassembly. The shop is busy here in Oregon...lot's of noise, dust, sparks, paint fumes and the rumble of 911's.

Any more photos of the green 72 by chance? Looks great, as does the rest of your work.
Thanks, Rich

Freddie, I'd like to make a day trip to visit the shop some day. Are there any days/times that are better (or worse) than others for a visit? I don't want to be too disruptive. Too much good work going on in there!

BTW, I would like to introduce my latest cat. This is Daniel AKA Pops! Daniel is a former Technician for Bruce Canepa. Daniel is a master engine and suspension tech. with over 20 years of experience he brings a wealth of knowlege in rebuilds and racing. I plan to use his skills by opening a new section in the shop for engine rebuilds. I feel very fortunate to work on the floor with my guys. These cats are hand picked. My mission, to give my clients the very best service. With Pops on board I have now reached 100 years of combined craftsmanship all in one place.

PS. check out the Steve Garvey arms

This past week we reached a milestone. After many hours of fabrication and fitting of panels, we got this 1967 911 painted in this beautiful original color called Polo Red. The single stage in Glasurit makes it look like candy. Before going into the booth, the entire car is taped and papered meticulously. From there it is wiped down twice with grease remover. Once in the booth it is tacked off and no hands layed on the car. We spray two coats of Deltron light grey sealer and three coats of Polo Red. George AKA Suave helped me paint this one...good job George!

I feel extremely honored to have restored this special early 1966 for a very special guy...Thomas AKA Milou. I will be delivering this piece Sunday in California where the car will meet it's owner for the very first time. Here is a sneak preview of the car before the Professional pictures are posted soon. Thomas I look forward to meeting you also for the very first time...let's celebrate!

Finally someone who knows how to block sand a car with the doors hung! You see million dollar cars at shows where paint is like glass and then you see that dip at the fender to door gap.

People are scared of plastic but it is the difference between sheet of glass and poor panel fit.

Great work!!!
