I don't pretend to be the final word on the subject but I have done so many of these signal colors to say that unless you have a white base sealer, to a great degree you will loose brightness and "pop" under sunlight. I have sample panels of different colors of base showing some variation of hue depending on color of base coat Using Glasurit will enhance greatly the color. So, yes for any signal light colors, white base sealer is the only way to go for me.

Beautiful! Bahamas blue is so deep, want to dive right into it. Love the 70's colors best with oranges, blues, greens and yellows. They accentuate 911 curves. I'm from PDX living in Asia for another year, but hope to swing by your shop when return. Enjoy reading your threads and seeing your outstanding work. Looking frwd to a Rektor update.

VSR does it again...making another client very happy. We took his 1987 911 strip it to metal and sprayed it with a fresh coat of Glasurit, tossed the impact bumpers, short hood, front fenders, mirrors and replace them with 1970 new panels. Converted the fixed qrtr windows to a pop out style. Hid the ac cooler from the bottom of the floor to the inside trunk area give the front S bumper a clean look and BAM! We give Chris the best of both worlds...a long hood 1970 look keeping the 87 stiff suspension and a response 3.2. Thank you very much Chris..Enjoy!

Wheels are 8 rears and 7 fronts wrapped in Bridgestones S-02 rears 225/50/16 fronts 205/55/16. I love these wheels and tires the fit well together. The car could use a drop of about 1 inch rear and 1/2 front.

You do a lot of your "high impact" colours with a white sealer or base coat, right? Does that really make a large difference in the finished colour coat?

That Bahama Blue looks fantastic, btw.

It appears by looking at several areas where paint has worn away that both my lime green ‘74 and my continental orange ‘76 appears to have a very bright yellow sealer or ground coat priior to the green or orange
