Problems With The New Server? Post Them Here...

Found any problems with the new server? Please post them here.

I'm headed off to dinner with Tom, but I still have the following to fix:

- Multiple Image Upload
- More Smilies Insertion

Please let me know if anything else seems broken...

You registered UBB-server on it's own domain (forums.pelicanparts.se) instead of being under main site, which means that all thread-pointers embeded in threads will cease to work...

Check out thread about lost oil dipsticks:

Thread-pointer:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6640&highlight=dipstick

Needs to be changed to:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/6640-1-ounce-prevention.html?highlight=dipstick

In order to work...

There are lot's of those pointers in posts...

Time stamp on BBS page is off

Wayne--
looks like the time stamp of when the last post on a particular thread was made on the front page of BBS is showing GMT, rather than PDT.

other than that, works GREAT!

Other than having to log in again...and boy am I glad I wrote my password in a notebook, everything seems fine. Thanks for the as usual excellent work Wayne:)

Email delivery of messages working okay for everyone?

not a "problem" but i noticed the member list on top is now organized by logon tima as opposed to register date.

e-mail works fine.

Wayne 962 05-08-2002 11:58 AM

I think that it's always been that way. I'm the oldest member here, and I never show up first on that list...

My shortcuts (that used to bring me directly to this forum and to the control panel) have been taking me to the "server is temporarily down" message all day.
I've been going through Pelican withdrawal.
Glad I decided to try more direct access.

Not sure that "Attach Multiple" is working yet:

Didn't work for me (looks like a UBB code problem) - the image works if I copy and paste the image location. Ooops, that picture is NOT small. Wayne, just delete my post (or the image - whatever) rather than letting it come up all the time.

Hi Wayne,

Everything seems great, however, in order for my user name to appear at the top of the page (users currently logged on), I had to re-log in. It seems that many more people need to do that, as it looks like only half of the normal users appear at any given time.

Not a big deal, just thought I would give my input so we all know who's here when surfing. Keep up the great work.

regards,

Wayne 962 05-08-2002 09:13 PM

You should only need to log on again once, and then it should remember you...

The whole page (incl smilies) must be loaded for the multiple upload to work. Don't just hit Multiplte Upload right away...

Seems to work for me...
