Cam sync for sequential EFI

I'm planning on getting the Clewett Engineering Cam Sync adapter for my rebuild of my race motor so I can go to sequential EFI. I'm wondering if there is something i need to specify to be added to the camshaft for this to work. I'd assume that some kind of pickup is inside the adapter, and it needs a magnet or something in the camshaft to actually get the position information, or is this all part of the clewett adapter.

The kit should come with a drill guide... You need to mount a M5 hex stud in the end of the cam for the sensor to pick up..

hmm.. how hard is it to drill into the end of the cam. How does one find the right place on the end of the camshaft (I'm assuming that it needs to be located on a specific place on the camshaft (TDC on number 1?)

The kit comes with a drill guide and a small bolt to screw into the head of the cam. This is the complete kit. The silver cylinder is the drill guide and the small bolt is then loctited into the end of the cam. I actually have mine for sale since I am upgrading to Clewett's scavenge pump with cam sync.

You do not need 100% tdc accuracy for the cam sensor, it can be located over a wide range of cam rotation and correlated within software adjustments.
