Interlocking Garage Floor Tile

Does anybody know of a discount source for plastic interlocking garage floor tiles similar to those in the photo below?

This might help....

Not sure about discount sources, but the dealers may be worth a call. Home Depot stocks a line of tile like this - I think its more expensive than KiwiTile.
Good hunting

Thanks guys. Kiwi Tile was the stuff being used and promoted at Sebring. I've got one price at $3.50 per 12"x12" square - seems a bit a steep! But I'll check the other links. I'm thinking of a red-black-yellow German theme for my garage floor! -- Curt

Curt,
Careful with the sizes - this is metric stuff [made in New Zealand from old sheeps teeth] which measures 13.1" x 13.1" per square. Their web site price is $3.50 per tile, which reduces to $2.93 per square foot.

Is there any disadvantage to interlocking tile? Is it possible for liquids to seep between them, or for them to separate over time from the pressure of a car pulling on and off? It seems like a nice, less permanent, if expensive solution, but it seems like there might be some weaknesses as well. Any thoughts?

From their website: A gridwork of holes in the tile's surface allows water and other fluids to pass through quickly, while a system or 438 support legs under each tile suspends the tile from its subfloor. See specifications for additional technical information.

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?
I always see it in temporary installations, but how does it hold up long term?
Can it support a floor jack, for instance?
Does it stay flat and locked forever?
It is a lot more $$ than paint but a lot easier to install, I think.

I'd be interested to hear anybody's experience with these. They look cool and sure would be a great addition accent for my garage!

The Kiwi tiles were used by 80% of the teams at Sebring (and now I remember the metric sizing from the brochure!). Every team had there own colors and design. The stuff just snaps together (no adhesive). It will support the weight of jack stands with no problem. It is also resistant to oils, solvents, etc. I would say it is semi-permanent and that is a plus in my book - it's easy enough to take apart and clean. Here's an "interesting" floor design at the Corvette paddock:

Were the Hawaiian Tropic girls in that photo? Oops, I meant to edit them out and just show the floor. Sorry. -- Curt
