Long hood to short?

How much work would it take to cut down a long Carbon fiber hood into a short hood? Would this be a total hack job? Have a line on a cheap long CF hood....

I can't imagine it would be worth the time. You would need to fabricate a new latch cross-member from scratch. I would also think a long hood would be worth more than a short hood.

Have you done much fiberglass work?
