How's My Chains Looking?

Last weekend I re-sealed the leaking chain covers. I took a few photos of the chain tension system on my daily driven 1980SC. By these photos, can anyone spot a problem? Is there a visual indicator of a worn system? The motor has 120K on it by me in the last seven years and 250K overall, but I don't know when the Carrera oil tension system was installed.

Looks OK..the chain tensioners do not look fully extended, which is good..it means the chains are not stretched.

How are the plastic ramps? Any doubt..replace them.

The ramps look fresh and intact. I looked as carefully as I could and didn't notice anything that bothered me except for the fact that they are plastic of some sort. I didn't attempt to remove them and really inspect them, though.

They are probably fine..I like to change them if they have many miles on them. Cheap insurance.

The inner chain ramps are fiddly to change, not a big deal. Do them one by one to avoid disturbing the cams/chains.

There is a brown ramp..and five black. About $7 each from out host.
