Alright, you should have it by now. How does it run?

lendaddy 05-10-2002 09:29 AM

I got it this morning and it does look great. Anyway I ran home for lunch and did the following.

1) pulled the felt plug and filled the shaft as Warren sugests with motor oil, then I put the felt plug in and that look a few more drops to saturate.

2) I had the motor at z1 TDC cylinder #1 so I lubed the new oring and dropped/pushed and turned her in. The rotor is now pointing dead center on the notch in the dizzy body.

3) reattached all of the plug wires and coil wire.

4) ran inside to let Sammi out to use the facilities (My dog, American Bull)

5) realized that I dont have any mini female spade connectors to attach to the coax connector

6) Realized I had to get back to work cause my foreman is off today as he is getting married tomorrow and I have to cover for him.

7) I am in his wedding and we have rehearsal dinner tonight @6:30 but I will I repeat will be driving the 930 there.

So to answer your I question, I don't know yet but I will, SOON

where the heck are you??

Lendaddy - you know I am getting married this weekend and I am already a nervous wreck. I call the shop and they tell me 'he has stepped out for a moment'. Well, you are supposed to be covering for me, but I think you are at home playing with that d*mn car again!! Review time is coming up and I am afraid we will have to make an entry in your file about this! Why don't you buy a car that does not need so much work and money to keep it running?? Maybe a nice Honda Accord, something SENSIBLE!
Anyway, call me when you 'get back from having stepped out a moment'. I need to borrow your Rover to carry off all the gifts we will be receiving this weekend! My God what am I saying?! I am getting MARRIED...OH HELP ME.....

P.S. Please don't drive that 930 to the Rehersal Dinner tonight. It scares the guests and you always smell like 'go-jo' when you have been in that thing....

I like your style, but he works for me. Not that it matters nor does it always seem that way.

Eagerly waiting the results LenDaddy!
Sure wish I had a 930 to hop into and cruise in tonight. Man, a 930 would rock.
Turbo kicks in, just in time for the middle finger to make its way out the window.
No, not F@ck you. It's "Buh bye!"
Gone.
And with the wide stance, it is twice the beast to those behind.

All they can see is the stance, the tail, and Turbo in fancy script.
They'll dream about it. They'll hate it, but they are owned by it.

And the children flock to it. It is divine machinery. "That's called a 930, kids. You like it?"
"Yes," they say.
"Good. It is to be worshipped. I'm passing around a little hat. You'll pay homage to it with your nickels, quarters, as well as any paper money you have have on you."
And the kids will pay gratefully. For they love the 930.

Wow Kurt,

That is quite the "deep thought" on the 930. Me thinks you've been nippin at Grandpa's cough mediciine again. Anyway, It is a night and day change with the new dizzy. I will post a new topic soon but in general I must say the old one has been costing me performance for some time(especially off idle).
