Rear bumper end caps - how to properly attach to bumper?
The rear bumper of my 73.5T was missing the end caps.
I've found a pair - now wondering how they were originally attached to the bumper: Screws? Probably not. Rivets? Hmm... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1338052560.jpg I know I know... rookie question, just try to make it original. |
I don't know for sure but... I would guess screws.
Alfa Romeos are held together with rivets. ;) |

I used small stainless sheet metal screws. Cheaply available locally at hardware store. Allows for future removal if necessary. Rivets would have to be drilled out.

There is a small ribbon seal that fits around the edge to protect your paint, and yes rivets for attachment.

Rivits with one of those round rubber surrounded metal one-way crimp clips. Not unlike what holds on the front Porsche hood emblem. You can tell I don't know the real name of them.
