Thanks for all the kind words. In response to the questions, they are 17" 996 wheels - from Cal's description in the classified "17X7 and 17X9 996 wheels. These were manufactured by BBS and were OEM on some 996 models."

These replaced Fuchs that I had painted the petals silver, loved that look better than the all black centers. The plan is to get those converted to 17". A lady I work with asked "why would you have two sets of wheels?" My reply was "depends on what kind of mood my car is in - does it want to have the classic look or a more modern look." I'm thinking can't go wrong either way

Yes, used spacers - fortunately they were part of the deal (the Pirellis, too). Cal had them on an 85, and based on the pictures it looked like the fit would be just right. At full left lock I get a slight rub on the refrigerant lines near the filter drier - probably due to the way I routed the lines when I did the AC upgrade last summer. I'll have the wheels off sometime in the next couple of weeks as part of replacing the brake light switches, bleeding the brakes, etc., so I can check the sizes if you like.
