You are right, the SC brakes are perfect and in some cases very strong at speed with smooth modulation. I chose PMB restored calipers, Zimmerman z-coats, SS lines and Mintex pads for average street use. Overall a very effective system with cheap off the shelf replacement parts. The fresh fluid is ATE blue and the entire system bled with ease. Thank you!

Just got back from the scale and the Cab registered 2547# with 3/4 tank.

The only deletes to date are A/C, audio, cruise, door panel clutter, rear seat backs/belts, alarm and spare tire/jack. I am looking into new door panels, lighter seats, after market Euro cat/muffler and possibly FG rear bumper. I may also go with lighter FG IROC tail vs. the current '87 Turbo lid/tail. That's if the IROC is indeed lighter?

Have a fun day!

My long term project.....update

I've been wrenching on the Cab now and then, when time permits. I have it stripped down to the tub for a second chance at a quality life and safe service. I found the driver side TB is broken, and as expected, the 30+ year old suspension needs refreshed. I had big plans for slippery suspension upgrades and replacements but decided on the following based on reality. Daily driven street car here.

*ER/OEM Rubber bushings throughout
*Turbo tie rods
*Ball joints etc.
*ER raised spindles & race bump steer kit
*New Bilstein HD inserts & Sport shocks
*Strut brace
*20/27mm Hollow torsion bars (22/28mm?)
*22/21mm OEM Sways with new OEM bushings
*Adjustable rear sway bar drop links
*Euro height, Align & Corner balance
*18x8" 225/40 & 18x9.25" 255/35 Conti DW's

I've been researching lots of builds and this is the list I am happy with for my application. Your input, based on experience here, is very welcome and appreciated. Thank you!!
