Wiper arm removal
Hey guys,
Need to remove the wiper arms on my '89. Assume it is just remove the nut and pop it off but those Porsche engineers always seem to convolute the simplest task. Straight forward or...? Thx. |

Yeah just take the nut off. Fold the wiper arm up and pull away from windshield, might take some force if it's been a while.
When you put the nut back on, be careful not to overtighten as it will crack the plastic spacer. And be careful not to let wiper arm spring back onto the glass if you are taking a wiper blade off. |

Just loosen the nuts (don't remove them). Fold the wiper arm up.Wiggle the wiperarms free (you can use a flat screwdriver) and remove the nuts and the wiperarms. Just in case, so you don't hurt yourself or scratch the hood.

Yep, as JW says, wiggle it while lifting. If you are one of those right tool for the job kind of guys, this is about ten bucks from your Snap-On dealer. Part number A192. Makes the job super quick and easy with no swearing necessary (or scratches on your cowl).
