are these *valuable* wheels?

I have an opportunity to buuy a set of 8x15 Fuchs...the part number on these is:

911 361 020

One is apparantly fine, the other has a ding. What are these worth???

I'd like a set of 15" wheels for autoxing my SC.

As I found out recently 8x15 are worth almost nothing. Maybe $100-$150/pair. The problem is that you can't find performance tires that will fit them anymore, so they are basically useless. The 16s are much, much more valuable...

225 X 50 X 15 Kumho Victoracers........for AX and limited street use. Probably the second best AX tire made and the best dual purpose.

Paired with 205 X 50 in front on 7 X 15s have the advantage of lowering the car bout 1/2 inch over 16s.

Rather than have them worthless 8s melted down for pop cans, send them to me

Apparantly the Yokohama 032R are available in that size too.....hmmm.

The guy wants the (equivalent of) $350 for the set. I'll try to weasel that down to $250 maybe.

As well as lowering the car, the smaller diameter gives a gearing advantage....and an unsprung weight advantage.

PLUS...the 15 inch Yokohamas are cheaper by about $40 per tire, which brings the cost of the wheels down.

As it turns out the 15x8 wheels I am after are already slighly rashed. It don't matter though. These are going to be my track wheels!

I've got 15x7" all round and my car is already pretty low. Would 205/55-15 be a suitable compromise?
