Fuel Pump Recomendations for Webers
My fuel pump appears to have an intermittent problem of not always coming on when you turn the ignition key. I have been stranded twice but only for a short time. With my luck it is not a wiring connection issue and have decided to replace the pump. I see our host has a couple different pumps available, Hardi, etc. I have a 2.7 with Weber's and was looking for advice on what would be the best choice for my set up. I don't believe I have a fuel pressure regulator but could be mistaken? Any ideas on which pump I should purchase? I do not know the brand I currently have however it is very noisy? Thanks for your comments. Darryl

Richard Parr at PMO has a fuel pump for carburetors. 3-4 psi for $125.00.

The Pierburg unit our host sells works well. I would still use a regulator though as Webers are pretty sensitive to anything over 3.5 psi.

I have the pierburg pump on my 70T 2.2 with PMO carbs and regulator set at 3.5 psi. So far works fine. My choice would be the stock pump if I knew where to get one rebuilt.

The low pressure Facet (round) pump from Pegasus Racing works well. About $90.
