3.2 SS into a '71-Need help with last few connections.
 
Many of you have helped me with the transplant thus far, but I am down to the last few wires before I can try to start.

I noticed from other posts that other CDI boxes have a wire that is connected to the middle of the box. My doesn't have one. Is this something I need?

I have a bundle of four wires that I can't seem to locate on the diagram. Any ideas?

Any ideas on this connector? Red wire and red/brown wire.

This red/black wire is coming from the middle fuse. I don't think it is a proper color coded wire.

Last, this t connector consists of brown and yellow/black wire coming from the motor.

I saw this thread the other day and was hoping when I looked it up there would be loads of info. I'm about to do the same with a 73. Good luck

T connector consisting of brown and yellow/black wires coming from the motor may be for triggering a blower

The 4 wire bundle should be the CDI connector for a 3-pin ignition unit. Your SC engine will use a 6-pin CDI unless some other things have been modified. The two are not compatible and require different wiring.

The CDI harness is part of the stock wiring harness but does not go through the 14 pin connector. Black should be the shielded signal wire. Blue (should have yellow marks) goes to the coil trigger and the brown are just grounds. There should also be a red 12V switched wire near there to power the CDI. These all appear to have been cut from the original 3pin CDI connector.

the red/black wire from the 3-pole fuse block should go to the rear window defog relay. This will be located on the relay panel. The wire should tuck into the grommet hole and plug in the bottom of the relay.

It looks like this was modified to use for some other 12V power application.

With a little help from Tom, the car started right up. I also want to give a shout out to Len (BoxsterGT) for getting me a perfect oil hose for my application. On to suspension, brakes, external oil cooler, paint and interior work. If any of you need pictures of the connections, feel free to drop me a PM. I'll start another thread soon with the progress of the car. Thanks to all for your help.
